About Us

Riverview is a proud part of the USD 232 De Soto School District, and it was established in 2002.  Since it opened, Riverview has impacted more than 5,000 community members in its western Shawnee residential boundaries.  As a Kindergarten through 5th Grade elementary school, we serve a student population of just over 480 and more than 300 families with over 60 full-time staff members, making a difference in our community every day.

Our mission is simple: “At Riverview Elementary, all stakeholders are dedicated to empowering each student to achieve his or her full potential.” 

Alongside our school district as a whole, we strive to prepare all students for their future through excellent, innovative learning opportunities with caring, dedicated and passionate staff in a safe and secure environment.
