Lea Ann Combs has spent 38 years in education, most recently as an elementary school principal. She has also served as a special education coordinator, early childhood coordinator, PBIS coordinator, behavior specialist, and special education teacher of students with all types of disabilities. Additionally, Lea Ann has extensive training in MTSS/RtI, PBIS, Professional Learning Communities (PLC), school safety, trauma informed care, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). She is currently retired from the Kansas public school system and in the last couple years has been a substitute for principals, as well as an interim principal.

Personally, Lea Ann has been an active resident of De Soto for almost 30 years. Her children attended school and graduated in the De Soto school district, and currently her son works at LTMS.

Welcome to Riverview! This is my 25th year in education. I have taught Kindergarten, first and second grade, Title I Reading and Math, and was a District Reading Director. This is my 5th year at Riverview and my time here has been spent as a Reading Specialist and currently the Building Coordinator. Emporia State University was my college of choice-Stingers Up! My husband is also in education. I have 2 children in college and 5 pets we share our home with. I am excited for the learning opportunities your child will experience this school year.
